Not a bad short vacation. I did not like NOT having a daily planner sent to the cabin each night so that you could plan your day ahead of time. We were checking out Royal Caribbean for a group of people and it fell short in some areas.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
There was no wait to get on board
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We bought the Specialty Dinner plan which was great. We could eat at a different specialty restaurant every meal except for breakfast and the food and the staff were great.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The Trivia games were too hard and the music trivia only played about 2 seconds of music before you had to guess the name of the song.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Their musical show was good "Saturday Night Fever" but a couple of the singers made you want to cover your ears to block out the sound. The dancers were great and the aerial show was alright. Some of the musicians were good around the ship The putt putt was over run with small children that were not supervised by their parents so we gave that up quickly.
Children's Programs
We did not have small children
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All of the staff were wonderful
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The design was fine but it took longer to find our way around than normal. It was just a 4 day cruise so we did not do much walking. They seemed to keep the areas clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The cabin was fine and had more storage than some other cruise lines.
Ship tip
Plan on carrying a change of clothes and important items on board with you like they tell you because your luggage may not arrive quickly. Ours came very late in the afternoon/early evening after dinner.
We have been there several times so we just did a day at the beach (Pearl Island) and the snorkle crew did not have enough equipment for our group. The lunch was great and there were plenty of chairs to sit on the sand but the actual beach was very small.
No problems with finding luggage and getting off the ship. The ramp was a bit too steep if you were in a wheel chair or walker but it was alright for us. You had to wait in line to get off the ship a little too long so there was not a need to get in line when whey called your number.
I keep seeing this complaint about Cruise Compass, but I always get them and don't want them. You can ask your stateroom attendant and they'll leave you a paper copy every day.
