Good value for the cost of the cruise. Although this was our second time on the Liberty of the Seas, the quality of the food was not up to past cruises. Hopefully the new Royal Caribbean terminal will alleviate embarkation and disembarkation issues.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Check in had long lines and Covid protocols even though necessary complicated the process.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Quality of the food in the main dining room and Windjammer were definitely below what we experienced on past cruises. Chops Grille was a test of patience as it took almost 3 hours to complete meal. Giovanni’s was exceptional with service and quality.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Only used the Solarium pool and hot tub during Falmouth port as it was not crowded. All other times too crowded to enjoy.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Ice show was good but stage productions were average due to performers being out due to Covid or injury. Stage band was quite good.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service was overall very good from guest services, excursions and waiters. Our cabin steward Glenda was superbly exceptional.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Condition of ship was very good despite age. The staff kept all areas clean and well-maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Upon arriving to our interior cabin 7703, we were disappointed to see it was smaller than expected plus the safe not work. We requested and paid for an upgrade to an oceanview cabin 3306 with the assistance of guest services which was perfect for us.
Ship tip
Be sure to research your cabin selection to meet your accommodations and get to the port early with the proper Covid results documented.
Took a taxi to Coral Beach and rented beach chairs and umbrella. Nice accessible sandy beach which was not too crowded. Wife snorkeled but did not see many fish. Food and drinks available for purchase.
