Review summary

Overall a great trip. More elegant than Carnival but not as much crazy fun as Carnival. The cruise director on RC are more subdued than Carnival. Both have their pros and cons. It just depends on what kind of cruise experience you want.

Main dining room was very elegant. So much better than Carnival Breeze we were on the week prior.

Not as fun as we had on Carnival Breeze the week prior. Would have enjoyed nightly comedy show in a smaller venue. Needed bigger venue for game shows and such. Many people left standing.

Service and Staff

The service in the main dining room was outstanding because of our waitress (Janice), assistant (Dimas), and head waiter (Glane). Many at our table order multiple dishes and the servers never made us feel like it was a burden. They were always so friendly and very attentive to our needs. Glane observed that my daughter was a vegan and served her delicious Indian dishes every night. This really impressed us and made my daughter’s dining experience unforgettable. Our wait staff deserve a 10 out of 10 rating. Our room steward, Hitesh, was also outstanding. He always had a room in great order and was always available if we needed anything.

Like how the ship had multiple areas for congregation so that not one area was overly crowded.

Small but functional. Shower needed some refurbishment.

Ship tip

The Olive or Twist is a great bar if looking for someplace peaceful and elegant with not many guest.

This was a great review for me. I’m a Carnival cruiser and I’m talking my very first RCL cruise in September. I love the energy and fun of the Carnival ships.
