Enjoyed the other cruisers on Royal Caribbean and staff was mostly very attentive and nice. Nice ship for kids although we didn’t take the kids this time. Mask mandate was annoying but I understand the reason for it. Better beds would help the enjoyment of the entire cruise. We have had back surgeries and had a lot of back pain despite asking for a mattress pad. It was paper thin. Embarkation and debarkation were very quick and smooth.
Embarkation

Very quick. They were very organized and it went very quickly w slight delay w the new health checkpoint.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Main dining room was not as good as I remembered our last Royal Caribbean dining experience. Food was hit or miss in there. We did not dine in the specialty restaurants and only used the buffet a couple times because breakfast was kind of chaotic and food was not as good as dining room.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We used the pools, hot tubs, spa, casino and gym. They are still making masks mandatory and there is definitely some anxiety w the crew members and some guests regarding this. Less shows but she hours were adequate for the pools to use and hot tubs. They do encourage social distancing when possible. The casino was smoky and not enjoyable for me. Wish they would make this nonsmoking
Entertainment
We did not go to any shows but much less offered than 3 years ago.
Service and Staff

The dining staff, bar staff and stateroom attendants were tremendous. One employee was snappy in the casino re my husbands smoking in the wrong section which out a slight damper on the experience
Ship Quality

It’s an older ship but immaculately kept up and clean. Hand sanitizer and masks everywhere
Cabin / Stateroom

Very nice balcony and room design was useful and adequate for 2 people. The beds are the absolute worst though!!! We asked for a bed pad and they brought two very thin flat foam toppers whigc didnt help much. That’s all they had. My back has been so sore for Atleast 4 days now agate debarking and being home. Please offer better toppers for elderly or people w back pain. It made our experience less enjoyable
Ship tip
Use the self assist option to debark. We were in our cars by 8 am last day. Bring a mattress topper if you have a bad back!
They cancelled our scheduled excursion the day before so we let the guides at the pier make a recommendation and went to Playa Mia beach break. Service was not good. They didnt bring some of our order then disappeared when we had all you can eat food and drinks and was expensive. Would not recommmend. They should have told us some other resorts that were cheaper or better but I guess they don’t get incentives from them to do that.
Enjoyed our excursion to the chill out river rafting but everything is a hour drive from the port at least. Maybe hanging out at the village near the port would be a better option if you don’t want to be riding for hours
