Review summary

It was a truly amazing week…everyone was so nice and happy to be working again! There were only 1700 people on the cruise…nothing was crowded and no waits for anything! We loved every minute of it…even the parts that weren’t perfect! Hey, the worst day cruising is better than the best day at work! Lol

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Even with having to wait for my daughter’s Covid test it was still fairly quick and painless. We did have to wear masks in the terminal, show our vaccination cards and passports but other than that it moved quickly and from drop off at 11am we were on the ship by about 11:45

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Didn’t eat at the specialty restaurants because we mostly eat at home when we are at home so even the main dining room was special to us! Lol We enjoyed coffee and pastries at sunup on our balcony every day! The buffet was good but not as much variety as I expected, although it was still huge and the food was good. The main dining room was great especially our servers Sushil and Resa…sometimes we had to wait a while for our food but that was because of new Covid protocols

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We checked out the water slides which were just ok…they didn’t have enough water going on them so we kept getting stuck. The flow rider was broken. But my daughter loved the pool and splash away bay! We loved there on sea days! The tidal wave was also amazing! Since we were only at 1700 people there was never a line for anything. We played mini golf, too and it was fun!

Entertainment

The comedians were truly funny and they even managed to keep it clean for the show where kids were allowed. They were great! The Finis show was ok, Savannah Jack was painful. We left. Maybe I expect too much from the shows.

Children's Programs

My daughter absolutely loved it and never wanted to leave!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
If I could I would give this one 10 stars! This is what made it so amazing for me…James our cabin steward and Resa our waitress was so wonderful to us. And every person we met was so happy and kind and greeted us so warmly. The staff was the best!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This ship is cleaner than my house! Everywhere I look someone is cleaning something! Lol

Cabin / Stateroom

This jr suite was perfect for my family of 3. We had plenty of storage room and my daughter slept on the sofa made out into a bed. She loved it and we had a wonderful view off the balcony. It wasn’t quite between the two elevator banks tho so it was a bit of a walk to the elevator that we used most often (the one closest to the dining room)

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

Eh, it’s Galveston. Sorry, it’s ugly and it stinks. The dolphins playing beside the ship was cool tho.

Disembarkation

So quick and easy!! I kept expecting to have to stop, stand in line and show my papers but all of a sudden I’m outside going to my parking shuttle! Wow!
