Review summary

Out of control kids and way too much indian food and yes i do like indian food but id enjoy some classics like Italian or even french and im not talking about spaghetti Bolognese(meat sauce) and yes it was good especially at Giovannis. But overall it was a very underwhelming cruise, im usually sad to leave the cruise ship but not this time. On a final positive note the ship itself is beautiful, the open design allows for easy navigation of the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was ehhhh, bed hard as a rock, the chairs by the pool were more comfortable, sink kept clogging. Room steward was asked multiple times for extra pillows and either forgot and didnt care. Tv choices sucked, only old sitcoms or childrens shows, no movies unless you wanted to pay 11.99 to watch the Avengers. The only cool part of room was the panoramic view, and the shower and the ac worked good.

Ship tip

Dont, while not everything on board is horrible, the nickel and dimeing is just awful. The crew just seemed miserable and often times angry which i understand because dealing with screaming out of control kids isnt what they signed up for. More times then not we would see kids holding up elevators and running wild through the dining room while we were trying to eat. Royal needs to seriously consider leash laws if your child is under 13. And no i dont hate kids, i just think the cruise line needs to be stricter about out of control kids since their parents dont seem to give a flying fu**

Ports of call

Falmouth, Jamaica

4 out of 5
The port itself was really nice, nice places to shop, the tax and duty free liquor store had some killer deals. The town itself not so much, our bus ride through showed some sad conditions, wouldn't go outside the port unless your on a bus. The mountains were beautiful just lush rain forest all around and very quiet and peaceful

Galveston, Texas

Taxes on liquor bought in a foreign country thats straight up extortion. Other then that it was okay, Ft Lauderdale is a much better port to cruise out of.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Not enough time in Grand Cayman because of rccl taking 45mins to load our tender which made us late to the sting ray cove tour which limited our time to try a local restaurant and some time to shop. The tour was advertised at 2.5 hrs took over 4hrs added to the hour it took load and get the tender ashore. Other then that grand cayman was by far my favorite island we visited.

Cozumel, Mexico

Good deals on shopping, bought some Mayan Fiesta rum cakes and let me say best rum cakes ever, went to the spice market and again very good and smell amazing.

Wing older and not real steady on our feet we try to cruise when kids are in school. We enjoyed the Liberty also and will be doing a 2nd cruise on her in November 2020.

Oh its not so much having kids on board thats the issue, its the kids running wild in the main dining room. And the cruise was a week before christmas so the kids should still be in school.

We try to only cruise when kids should be in school to avoid that kind of chaos. Although parents don't seem to mind taking them out of school when it's in session sometimes. Sucks that you didn't fully enjoy your vacation.

Stay with princess if you dont want a lot of kids. Royal caters to "families"
