Review summary

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the ship as much as I thought I was. I'm not much of a shopper and if the weather is nice to be more outside, the outside was not very conducive to what I enjoy. There was not a lot of adult comfortable quiet spaces could not enjoy the back of the ship. The cleanliness of the room could have been better.

Embarkation

It was okay.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The main dining was good with certain foods, desert not so much. Did not do specialty restaurants and the buffet breakfast was great. Wishing that the pizza and or hamburgers and ice cream was around the clock. The ice cream venue was horrible.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
I had a rotator cuff injury, waiting for procedure when I got home. Could not do any of it. Wanted just the time to relax and enjoy the ocean.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Unfortunately, I definitely have seen better. Mr. Nastor comedian was amazing. Serendipity they were incredible wish I could have saw more of them. The other performers on the ship were pretty good.

Children's Programs

I do not have any children. I felt like most other shows and the activities and some of the entertainment we're geared more to kids then adults.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The servers the waiters and the ship Personnel were amazing. The room steward that we had was horrible. He would barely talk to us and not that friendly, he would barely clean our room and never turn down our beds for us.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
I would have to say the layout of the ship and the design was okay. I wanted just to enjoy the ocean and have a quiet nice sunny or shade comfortable place to lay out. Being an adult I could not find any of that on this ship unfortunately! There was nothing geared towards adults that wanted to enjoy the relaxation of being in the sun and not underneath where the pool is and shade. There were no padded Cabanas or lay out chairs with cushions. It was hard for me to get comfortable anywhere on the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin itself was amazing size for my elderly parents who get up frequently during the night and need to walk due to medical issues. Unfortunately the beds were very close to the alert call system and my mom thought it was the light and pushed it. Very glad that someone came quickly and he was very professional. The cleanliness was not so much due to our cabin boy. Been on many cruises and this was the first one that was not so friendly.

They also could have more adult movies at night all of them were cured to the younger and the millennial group. That I definitely missed on this Cruise is a good movie night underneath the Stars. I was very disappointed with that!

Ports of call

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Not much to do if you don't go on an Excursion, went down and then came back up.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Again, just went down and visit the shops.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
I love Cozumel it was my fifth time to be there and I usually rent a Jeep and go around the whole island. Hitting local watering holes and enjoying the other side of the island and having my own free time.

Disembarkation

Off the ship quicker than we thought oh, that was a good thing.

Like the Liberty of the Seas. Just the right size for us.

I can understand that sailing at this time of year is predominantly families. But if you choose your dates carefully, it isn’t so bad. I still think Liberty is great value, for not having to fly to join the ship!

Soccergirl, I see you are also from Texas! We have cruised on Liberty of the Seas many times, and other RC ships before her. It is so easy to drive down to Galveston. But our last cruise on Liberty will likely be our last. The company is catering too heavily to families and with kids sailing free, it becomes a bit more than we can enjoy. I wish Princess would return to Texas.
