Food was typical cruise food, some great and some not so great!! I have had better drink service when laying by the pool, shows, etc., but I just got up off my butt and walked to the bar. Our dining room service was slow, the head waiter was aware of it and was good to help out.
Onboard Activities

I was NEVER bored on sea day during this cruise. There was always something to do. I was actually exhausted at the end of our sea days.
Entertainment

The ice skating show was awesome, the comedians, and the "In the Air" shows were also great!!!
Service and Staff

We were traveled with 8 of us and we were always one of the last ones leaving the dining room. Our wait staff was a little slow and we missed 1 show because of it, but the other nights, we just enjoyed each others company.
Ship Quality

Overall, it was pretty clean. However, It is disgusting to see how lazy people are and won't pick up after themselves. With that being said, it was hard to find garbage cans. You would think they would be everywhere.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had a balcony room and it was roomy.
Ship tip
Plan to pay for extras on the ship. Some of the activities had a charge and if you wanted popcorn at the shows, there was a charge for it as well.
Not my favorite port!!! We did not have an excursion booked but we rented a golf cart and drove around the island and then hung out at the beach. The beach was very dirty and again, we had wind and it was almost cold.
We did the Secret Amazing River. It was awesome and we really enjoyed it. When they offer you the walking stick for the river, take it!!! It was very handy to have when walking in the dark on uneven surfaces.
We have been to this port twice and both times we have had problems. If your cruise goes to Roatan or Belize, be prepared for delayed disembarkation. Also, Galveston has a fog season and our last cruise, we missed our flight because of fog. Schedule VERY late flights (ours was at 2:30 and we only had about 20 min. to spare once we got checked in and through security) OR plan to fly out the next day.
