Review summary

Okay I know it seems that I may not have enjoyed the cruise but I did have a good time, overall. Our room and bathroom was not very clean. The disembarkation was such a long process, and we did not get to go on our boat tour on Cozumel. Other than that the other parts of the trip were great. The ship is nice. Dinner was great. The shows were amazing. I would pick a different room if I ever go on this ship again. Just because our room was 7289 and it was the Prom. view. If you are okay with music starting every day at 8am or 8:30am and ending at 12am then you are cool. But if you want to take a mid-day nap forget it.

Embarkation

We arrived about 12:45pm because we knew that we would not be able to get into our rooms until about 1pm or later. Other members of our group arrived at 10am and had to wait until 1pm to get into the rooms. When we arrived we just walked right on through no lines. Or maybe 1 family in front.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food at dinner was the best in my opinion. I wish I could eat Beef but I can't. Everyone in my party that had any beef dish stated that it was so tender. I mainly ate Fish, shrimp or lamb. I enjoyed coming together at dinner.

Onboard Activities

I enjoyed the shows, they were great. It was so much to do. When traveling with other people or with a large group sometimes you do not always get to do what you want, but I would have like to enjoy the pool or hot tub. There was just so much to do.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Okay I said Poor but let me explain. The areas throughout the ship was okay clean in some areas. For me, even though we do not spend a lot of time in the room except for sleeping or changing etc. Our bathroom was not clean. I had to re-clean it and there were dust in so many areas. I went throughout the room with Clorox wipes even cleaning the furniture / couch and there was dust build up. Our toilet had a black ring around it. I used the toilet brush to clean it out better and there was black and brown poo stuck up in the rim of the toilet. I scrubbed it, and flushed it for over 30 minutes trying to get it clean.

Ship tip

Overall it was a great trip with great people. My advice is to arrive on day 1 by 1pm and make sure to take a tour around the entire ship before the ship leaves. Give yourself a chance to see everything.

Ports of call

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

I did not get off at this port but my family did and they said the shops were nice. 1 couple friend we were with stated that the city tour was great. They planned a trip through Royal.

Belize City, Belize

We took a tour that was not Royal. It was planned by one of our friends on the trip. We all participated and it was great. We took a tour of the city and also had lunch. It cost about $35 a piece including lunch. That was great. We also went shopping.

Cozumel, Mexico

Our water event was canceled. The water tours for Royal and other tour companies could not go out because the water was not good. High winds and waves. That was a bummer because I brought my own gear and was ready to see fish. Instead we went shopping.

Disembarkation

Did not like this part at all. Breakfast had to be taken by 8:30am. Okay no big deal. We did not get off the ship until 11:45am. We were up since 6am. It took way to long to get off the ship, and no one told us where to pick up our confiscated surge protectors. So that was money lost and they would not allow me back in to retrieve them.
