Review summary

Will not go again in January. Weather not good for about 4 days. A lot of rain and high wind. Too many people. Too many kids and elderly needing assistance. Buffet food was cold and dry.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
This was a long process, standing in line for almost an hour after I had told them I couldn't stand due to leg, hip and back problems.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The buffet food was always cold and dry. The only really good food was from Johnny Rockets. They were personable, nice and always right there to help us. The buffet was really disappointing. We saw a teenage girl put her finger in some crepe sauce and then lick it off her finger. Disgusting!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The pools were crowded with kids. The wind was too strong to do the rock climbing wall.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The arial show and Greased Lightening were very good. The parade was also good. Excellent performers. Could not get in to the ice show due to the long lines.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The room steward, Karen, was very good. She was helpful and nice and provided excellent service. Also, Leroy, Bogdain and Hazel in Johnny Rockets were also good. The talked to us and provided excellent service.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Deck 6 smelled of sewer our first night and we noticed how stained the hall carpet was. The door to the balcony was very hard to open. We almost could not open it and then the handle came off in my hand. The ship appeared very old and not kept.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
No complaints about the cabin other than it just appeared old and unkept.

Ship tip

Be prepared for lots of kids and lots of elderly people who were in wheelchairs or needed help. Too many people on this ship

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

4 out of 5
I like Galveston. Did not do an excursion

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

3 out of 5
Roatan was old and dirty. Not much to do here. Did do the Jade Museum, but not much to it, and no food or drink available.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

3 out of 5
Costa Maya was better but rained the entire time. No excursion.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
No excursion, just sightseeing. Not bad. Would go again to Cozumel

Disembarkation
