l would not do the Liberty of the Seas or cruise out of Galveston again. We did meet some really nice people and got to see 3 amazing ports that were all different but very enjoyable. The ship seams like they tried to cram a lot into a small space.
Embarkation
5 out of 5

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food in the main dining room seams to be the same all the time and never changes from cruise to cruise, it gets boring after awhile, l found a large 1 inch string at the bottom of my cream of mushroom soup, apologies were made by maitre d. Food in the Windjammer was very good and the dinner staff amazing.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Rock climbing, water slides are open a limited amount of time and close every night at 7 pm, they also close all the pools but one at 7 pm. When l asked why l was told because of the limited amount of staff and for the safety of the passengers. They now have lifeguards posted at every pool since a boy died earlier this year. This would have been enjoyed more if the hours were extended. The ADULT pool area was just as or more noisy that the other pools, a lot of adult loud mouth drunks. Could not even sit and read.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Saturday Night Fever was amazing, Broadway caliber entertainment. Not suitable for young children. DJ was good. Entertainers that played music were all great.
Children's Programs
1 out of 5
My daughter is 16 and was looking forward to making new friends and having fun, it did not happen. Youth group is 12 - 17 and the 12 and 13 yr old running around, loud mouths, bad language and acting like total idiots. The youth should be 11 - 13 and 15 - 17. My daughter went to the teen disco area and there was never anything going on. She went to the skating party and these same idiots had to be told over and over to stop doing things. l checked on the other kids programs and the younger kids to age 5, there were 3 kids screaming and crying and limited staff ( 1 for every 15 kids ) were trying to corral all the little ones to one area. In the older ones, we saw a girl about 8 was standing with 2 of the staff who had a comb and were going through her hair, ( lice ) l don't know.
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
Dining room staff amazing, top notch. Room steward - 1st one named Tamike Lawrence was the worst l have ever had in 23 cruise.there was a baggy full of used tissues, paper, salt packages, and foam pieces on our floor. l made a complaint about her 2 times after the first time she stood in the hall and yelled at me. We had a flood the 2nd day because so much hair in the shower drain, it was not cleaned,l ad to take all the hair out YUL ! l had to use all my towels to get the water all up. We got another Room Steward who we loved and was one of the best ever named Teresita Maravilla.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
the layout was not one of the best, the staff was always cleaning on deck and the bathrooms all seemed to be well looked after.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
our cabin over looked the Promenade deck, with a large window and extra seating loved having the extra seating area, cleanliness see above in service and staff
Ship tip
It is an older ship that has been redone, l have been on much better would never do this ship again. l know there are those who have been on it a number of times and love it but not for me.
It was amazing, beautiful and the people are kind and gracious. We did sloths and monkey's and went to the beach, snorkeled, shopped and toured the Island. This was not done through RCCL.
We did a private excursion, recommended by a friend that was there the week before. Cozumel is amazing, we toured the entire Island and leaned some of it's history. We had local food that was OMG GREAT.
The ship did not clear right away people were lined up for over an hour, when it finally cleared there were very long lines. It took about an hour, we did not have to collect our luggage we walked off with it. l would not cruise out of Galveston again, very small and congested but they do the best they can with what they have.
Your the first I have heared say this.. But we all do have our own opinions on things.. We like one ship better then the other.. But being my first cruise on liberty please tell your disslike
