The cruise was fun. We had so many options to choose from it was hard to do everything. We like the smaller ship because there seemed to be less people, less stress, more amenities available to us.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
I loved it. It was simple, organized and staff were ready to help with a smile.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food in the main dining room was exquisite. The buffet food was delicious though not as fresh as in the main dining room.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We climbed the rock wall, used the fitness center, played table tennis and miniature golf. Everything was easy to access, though at one point there were 20 people waiting to climb. It would have been nice to have more staff on hand at that point.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
They were amazing, very professional and experienced. It was like watching something on Broadway.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
They were all very helpful. But I have to say more than once I was sent in the wrong direction. I would rather they say "I don't know" and help me find what I was looking for, than point me in some direction just to get rid of me.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Yes. Everything was well maintained. Having maps on each deck really helped, it was easy to navigate around the ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
It was really nice. We had a window opened out to the promenade. We loved the black-out curtains, and were surprised that it wasn't too loud despite the parades going on outside.
Ship tip
The elevators are slow, so be ready to walk the stairs or be patient.
We did not do an excursion. There was mostly shopping available. There was a dolphin experience and snorkeling available but it was small and seemed overpriced.
This was nicer because you would leave the port and find other shops in the area, or rent a motorbike and just explore the town. We did a horseback riding excursion which was nice, but wished we could stay all day at the ranch.
Our experience on Liberty was very similar to yours and we really enjoyed the ship. We didn't have one of the promenade state rooms but our balcony state room was very nice. We found the staff very pleasant as well and the live entertainment also very good- the staff musicians on the ship were definitely pro players. Embarkation in Barcelona was quick and efficient and so was debarkation in Fort Lauderdale. We liked the miniature golf course and the fitness center, too.
There isn't a soda fountain but you can get free unsweetened ice tea, mango juice with no added sugar (which was still really good) orange juice, and water for free without getting a drink package. I'm not sure how many sodas or cases of water you can bring in, but I know you can bring 2 bottles of wine in.
