Review summary

It was a great cruise on a beautiful ship! Enjoyed the sea days as well as the ports. The shows were very entertaining, great food, and excellent service!

Embarkation

Easy and pretty quick. Much better than our experience a year ago on Liberty of the Seas! Our

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Our waiter, Jevi, was the best waiter we have had on any cruise! We only dined in the main dining room. The food was very good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We were alway able to find a empty lounge chair on the decks. The lines for the water activities were short to medium length so the wait was never really long.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows were very good. I gave this four stars because two nights were set aside for the ice show. If you saw the ice show the first night, there was no special entertainment the second night.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had the best cabin steward and waiter!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was very clean. I do not like that like that they allow smoking in the Casino. You have to walk through the Casino to get from one end of the ship to the other end or take a flight of stairs up and then a flight of stairs back down. Take

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabins are small.

Ship tip

Take a lanyard from home so you don't have to buy one for your sea card.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

We like using the Port of Galveston.

We had a great time at this port! We booked a private tour through Victor Bowden Tours. We got to hold monkeys and sloths at Victor's Monkey Business. Our driver when dropped off two of our group so they could go off shore snorkeling. Bowden tours had a boat waiting for them. The owner of the boat even went snorkeling with them. While they were snorkeling, the driver took the rest of us to the beach. The driver returned to get the two that went snorkeling. He then escorted them to where we were on the beach. When we were ready to go back to the ship, the driver took us back to the ship. It was a great day!

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
Another good day at the beach. We took the trolley ($3 per person) to the Barefoot Beach Club. The beach is shallow for several feet. Really nice for small children. We had wonderful massages on the beach for $20. Four stars because of all of the very persistent locals selling trinkets the whole time we were there.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Third nice day at the beach. We went to Playa Mia Beach Club. Lots of water activities including Paddle boats and kayaks and lots of other water activities are included in the package price. Great sand!

Disembarkation

We stood in line for over an hour to disembark! And that was with being where we were supposed to be at the correct time to start the disembarkment process. After such a positive boarding process, we were hoping they had improved the diembarkment process. No such luck!
