Big ship. Fine for families with children and teens. Not so much for mature adults.

Review summary
We are mature adults who have been cruising for 40 years. Our ideal cruise is excellent ship service, cleanliness and cabin choice in order to relax on our cabin balcony, enjoy main dining room meals with excellent service and menu choice, accompanied by top live entertainment and beverage choices throughout the ship, and cabin TV news and ship programing. Itinerary doesn't matter so long as the ship doesn't tender in ports. Liberty of the Seas delivers well on all these wants, but for older cruisers such as ourselves, young folk with high energy is a distraction. Easy and swift Port embarkation and debarkation is a must for us. Unfortunately Galveston needs some help in providing this want.

Ship tip
Expect delays in Galveston if the weather is less than perfect, so choose an airline who will work with you if ship is delayed by fog during winter months.
