Review summary

Loved the three ports; on board experience was excellent. Worst experience was disembarking at the end of the cruise, in the rain. Food was fine, nothing to write home about.

dining was fine. Food was okay. Not terribly flavorful in most cases. Would be nice if they published the days for formal dining in advance.

Ship tip

Several ports prefer you pay in cash, in American $$. You can get $$ from the ATM on board but recommend you take cash, especially smaller bills, for ease of payment.

Much prefer the mdr to windjammer. I did like the breakfast in the windjammer omelets every morning

Only thing I would add is beware of ATM fees or charges pulling money at the casino. Try and bring cash if you can.

So true on the included food on most cruise lines. They all want you to do the upcharge restaurants. I mostly stay away from the buffey for dinner as half the fun is getting served with linen on the table. Always found good to great service at the included restaurants on both RCCL and Carnival. Always did late time dinning, so your not going to get rushed out. If you figured the cost of food you paid for the cruise that night and add in the upcharge it's not a small amount to do the upscale restaurant. You can spend over 100 very quickly for dinner for just 2. On Anthem in December and it's rotation restaurants. My wife is looking forward to that. Me, not so much, lol.
