Review summary

This was a very enjoyable cruise.  We got on the ship without much delay and got into our cabins fairly quick.  Food was very good and the servers were wonderful.  Our dinner companions were all about our age and that was nice - we always had good dinner conversation.  My only complaint is that Royal Caribbean goes to the same places all the time.  We have taken the Western Caribbean cruise twice and don't want to take it again.  Need some new places!

Disembarking has been a nightmare in the past, but this time we were impressed with the way it was handled and the speedy exit from the ship.  Customs had many agents on duty and that was another plus.  All in all I would recommend this cruise to anyone.  The convenience of leaving from Galveston is a real draw as I am not crazy of all the hastle of flying.  April is also a wonderful month to travel and we have done six cruises in the past and all have been in April-early May.  It is a wonderful way to travel - very relaxing.

I agree with the above comment!! You need to add cruising out of San Juan to your bucket-list! Much more port-intensive cruises. Yes, you have to fly but it's worth it 100x over! I'll never ever forget swimming with sea turtles in Barbados or the breathtaking views in St. Kitts.

Try the southern or Eastern Caribbean cruises. Even try different ships from different Cruise Lines. But the bigger part of it is flying somewhere else. Because you never know the different places that cruise ships takes you until you go someplace else.
