Review summary
Royal Caribbean continues to do so many things right and continues to strive to do things even better. This cruise was no exception. We experienced the Royal Caribbean difference up until the last day
.
Unfortunately the day of departure continues to be a problem if you have a family member who needs wheel chair assistance when exiting the ship. This time was the worst so far. There was no organization when it came to the process of receiving assistance. The person in charge was a low level cruise staff member who seemed overwhelmed and confused. Instead of listing people as they arrived and by their departure number he randomly wondered around the area gathering information. He never started where he left off instead going to a completely part of the room. They had around 11 crew members to assist with departure so that was not an issue.
The competition to R.C. does such a better job on this issue. First of all they have some one to greet you as you arrive. They have an area set up with coffee and pastries for you. They start the process by asking who in the group has the first departure numbers and then getting that group ready. The process then continues in an orderly fashion until everyone is listed.
This was not the first time R.C. has let us down on this issue, but it was poorest attempt on their part that I have experienced.
