Review summary

Main reason for trip was to visit Roatan (we had never visited there in previous Western Caribbean cruises and my uncle and girl friend have a timeshare there and we just wanted to see what they saw all the time), but due to heart attack cruiser we had to return to the Caymens for her to get medical help and that 8 hour plus return and back to where we turned back meant no Roatan.  On to Costa Maya, which was a plain junk port--stayed on shore for one hour, which was too long and most cruisers did the same.  Wish they had gone on to Roatan and skipped Costa Maya...in fact, please ask Royal Caribbean why pass up an excellent place like Roatan for a complete dump like Costa Maya.  Only part of trip that was terrible.

Outstanding, especially with cabin Steward Daryl taking exceptional care of us and cabin and requests all the time during the 9 day cruise. Placement of the cabin was perfect.

You didn't miss much at Roatan we were there.

Do you wish they had gone on to Roatan, and let that poor lady die???

I would just as soon stay on the ship and relax while so many people are off of the boat.

Your opinion of Costa Maya. I hear the same comment for Roatan also. Every port to me is about the same. Pushy vendors and too many people. To me it's about the cruise not the ports.
