Review summary
Whereas I feel that my wife and I generally allowed ourselves to have a good time overall, there were some aspects that made it a bit disappointing for us. The first day was bad. Our luggage was lost onboard and even though I was told initially that there were crew staff trying to locate it, I myself had to go find it (and did approx 2 1/2 hrs after we set sail). Our cabin was on deck 8 but one piece of our luggage was located on deck 2 and the other piece on deck 9. When I fist informed them that we were still waiting for our luggage to be delivered to our cabin, I was given the excuse that we may have had valuable items in it that someone may have been trying to take. I didn't understand this explanation because my luggage was left in the care of the ship's staff, so were they the ones trying to take stuff out of it?? Also that night, while taking a shower, the shower hose burst and water sprayed everywhere in the bathroom. When my wife called for assistance, we were told that a plumber would be right there, but while waiting we were able to drift off to sleep and awaken almost an hour later and no one had come. My wife called again and was told that plumber should had been there a while ago and would be called again(he showed up within 5-10mins this time). One last issue we had was on the fourth night, they scheduled a movie on the Big screen that we really wanted to see, so we decided to skip our scheduled dinner to make the movie on time, only to be disappointed because they did not show the movie from the beginning, but started it in the middle instead. So not only did we not get to see the movie in its entirety(only got to see the last 45 mins of it), but we missed a very good meal of lobster and prime rib that night(and ended up having to pay to rent the movie in order to see it in its entirety). This was not our first cruise but it was the first one on Royal Caribbean and I can say it was so far the most disappointing one.
