Review summary

This ship was amazing! It was the best cruise we've ever been on. Great ship for people who like a lot to do and like the larger ships (which we do). Our group was my husband and myself (in our 30s), my parents and our friends (in their 50s). Can't wait to plan our next cruise on Royal Caribbean!

Ports of call

George Town, Grand Cayman

We didn't do an activity in Grand Cayman this time around. We only went out and did a bit of shopping. We enjoyed our short time there but the drinks were pretty expensive because of the exchange rate. We had 2 mojitos and a margarita and it cost $37. If you want to drink, have a beer. Not really complaining though - they were large drinks and the scenery was good over the water. Don't remember the name of the bar, but it was on top of the BBD (pirate) rum shop. Ask others what that is, I'm not going to type it in this review :-)
Don't Miss: From our last cruise: We enjoyed the Grand Cayman Highlights and Turtle Farm for a nice overview of the city

We went snorkeling on a party boat! The thing about the snorkeling, though, because of the currents, everyone had to get off of the boat together and stick together the entire time. There was no snorkeling at your leisure which we would have preferred since a couple of us don't snorkel well. But, the dive instructors were wonderful and let those of us who don't do well hold onto rafts in the water so that was nice. Plus, when we were ready to get out of the water, they did move the boat around and pick us up. The most fun was the party afterwards. The dive instructors spent time with us on the top deck and we drank tequila shots, drank margaritas and beer and danced. We had a great time with them and the other passengers. Then, we weren't ready to stop the party so we went to Senor Frogs for some more beer and their shots. Again, we danced and had a wonderful time. I still feel bad for Luis and Nakiesha at dinner because our entire party giggled throughout dinner :-)
Don't Miss: Palancar Reef Snorkeling

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

We always enjoy Labadee. It's a nice beach day. We relaxed on the beach under a tree and went swimming. Had a few Labadoozie drinks which were great! Part of our party did the kayaking and said that they had a great time. The barbeque was pretty good as well.
Don't Miss: seems to be the zipline from other people's accounts - we didn't do it, though

We did the zipline (Chukka Canopy Experience) and had a fabulous time!! It was an amazing experience through the rainforest and our guides (Chris and Dane) were funny and very helpful. They provide you with all that you need - bug spray, helmet and gear. The only thing I suggest is picking up your own work-type gloves at home depot. The ones they provided us stunk horribly!!
Don't Miss: Definitely the zipline; the rest of our party LOVED the Mountain Valley Rafting
