Good Time, Mostly for the Views. Not incredible though.

Review summary

Great trip for older folk looking to see Alaska and have a relaxing time. Less good for those looking for an exciting and action packed trip. Alaska is gorgeous, and maybe this is the most accessible way to see it.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Tamarind was amazing. Buffet was good. I found the rules around the Premium Drink packages very annoying and inconsistent. For example a water came in 2 pack and counted as 2 drinks. A beer and a coke cost the same, even though coke is free in the buffet. You really had to play the game. Wait times were too long as well.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Very little to do on board. The basketball/pickle/soccer court was very nice, but it was mostly too cold to use. The pools were very small and crowded.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Just one show "Humanity" was worth seeing.

Children's Programs

Nothing for my baby. I get that 1 years old is very young, but I wish the daycare had something for kids under 3.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Amazing people, very happy to help. Bartenders were very slow though.

Ship tip

It's a great time if you are there to see Alaska and have a chill time. Definitely not a party/activity driven boat. It's almost all elderly people and the ship is geared to that audience.
