Review summary

This was our first time on HAL, but it won't be our last! Everyone on board was friendly, smiling and seemed genuinely happy to be back to cruising with PEOPLE on board. They had been just doing dry runs and dress rehearsals. And their enthusiasm showed! No lollygagging to get your drinks just because you were on the "drink package". As a matter of fact, they pushed them out even faster! Navigator app was very useful. I recommend getting the premium internet package for one device and then just sharing it with those in your cabin. It tells you when someone else is on and you can log them off, so no one goes over their limits! Decent selection of on-demand movies in your cabin, too. Room service was on time every time. Everything tasted fresh and tasty! Did not disappoint in any way..... You should go...

Honestly, all the drinks were great and we never even bothered with the specialty restaurants as the Main Dining Room, Lido Buffets and In Room Dining were far above par!

Onboard Activities

There were a lot of activities, but we mainly used the Thermal Spa Rooms and Thelassotherapy Pool in the Spa. Great!

Entertainment

BB King Blues Club, Rolling Stone Rock club were our favorites. Went at LEAST once per night, mostly the BB King. Shows were great, especially the A/V effects!

Children's Programs

We didn't have any kids and there weren't many onboard.

Service and Staff

It was my understanding that the ship was at 50 percent capacity, but the crew were at 100 percent, so we were spoiled. And the crew were happy to be cruising again and showed it!

Loved the music and tech motifs in this ship! Spotlessly clean, logically laid out and easy to navigate!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5

This cabin had an oversized balcony, which we loved! Roomy, FULL SIZE shower, even a motion activated "night light" for when you get up in the night for that "little trip" so you didn't have to wake up your partner!

Ship tip

If you can, avoid the "obstructed view" balconies. They really ARE! Ours wasn't.
