We really enjoyed the ship and the staff. The weather was perfect and the ports were beautiful. Even though we didn't have enough to do during the sea days we took the opportunity to rest up. I would highly recommend Holland America. They definitely have the best food of any cruise line that we have sailed with.

Onboard Activities

There was not very many activities on the ship during the day and at sea days so we watched movies in the room. At night we visited the BB Kings Blues Club, the Rock and Roll Club, and the Piano Bar. We also attended all of the shows on the Main stage and watched a couple of movies at night poolside on the big screen.

Ship tip
The ship seems to be geared toward an older crowd. If you are a senior citizen this is the cruise for you. Very laid back.
Beautiful island. Holland America sponsored a Barbecue for all the guests. It was very nice. Lots of photo opportunities. We are not sun people so we didn't get into the water sports or laying in the sun. It was worth going to the island and seeing the beauty.
We took the tour to the Jesus Christ statue and the Botanical Gardens. We had an excellent tour guide that told us so much about the area. We loved this port.
We didn't have alot of excursions to choose from so we chose the trolley ride through town. It was OK but could have seen the same thing on foot. Bonaire had some beautifully colored buildings. We enjoyed our day there. The water was so clear you could see the brightly colored blue fish swimming close to the docking area of the ship.
This was my 2nd trip to Aruba. There were many changes than from the 1st time I was hear. We took the town and country excursion and saw some rock formations which was amazing, a lighthouse which was beautiful, Alto Vista church, and the Natural bridge. This excursion was well worth what we paid for it.
Very easy disembarkation. We did have to wait to get our luggage for about 30 minutes after we got off the ship. We had a flight to catch which made the waiting a little harder.
