Review summary

Our favorite part of the cruse was the fellowship with our friends and the social interaction with the other passengers on the ship and during the excursions onshore.  The staff was friendlier than some ships; the food was delicious with lots of variety; cleanliness and the service we received from the staff was top notch; the ports we visited were fun, except for Amber Cove where we felt a little unsafe; the entertainment was good, although a couple of venues were a little close together with no way to block the noise of people passing by; there was a lack of activities at times; there should be a larger choice of beer to include IPA's.  The water was calmer than we have ever seen it which added to our enjoyment. It was an excellent trip.

Cabin Steward was excellent. Plenty of storage - more than normal it seems.

Ship tip

It was one of the nicest ships on which we have sailed.

The beach onshore near where the ship docked was very nice - no need for a cab or long walk to get there. There were free chairs and palm trees for shade. Restaurants, bars and shops nearby.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

Karel's Bar and Grill on a pier on the waterfront was a delightful respite to stop for a drink before reboarding the ship.

Willemstad, Curacao

Mambo Beach, a short cab trip away, was great. Easy to return to ship when you want. Restrooms, restaurant and bars right there. Lots of stairs to get down to beach but an elevator is available. Cost was $3.50 entry, $3 for a lounge chair.

Oranjestad, Aruba

We stopped at Moomba Beach, part of our excursion, which was not bad and it had restrooms and restaurants and bars but on our excursion drive around the island, Eagle Beach looked like a beautiful beach on which to spend the day although we are not sure about nearby restrooms. $30 to rent an umbrella at Moomba, but we found palm trees for shade.
