Review summary

Overall was a wonderful experience from San Juan all the way to Fort Lauderdale. I would highly recommend this itinerary to anyone looking at a cruise. Leaving from San Juan had to be the most relaxing and fast embarkation I have had boarding a ship. The islands we visit on this trip were amazing! The Ship we loved. Could see the water from Almost all areas of the ship. The Schooner bar on the Jewel, if you like Nautical theme was the best I’ve seen! This Ship was a Classic!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining room was as expected and wonderful each night!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the Solarium and various activities throughout the ship like, trivia in the schooner bar( which is the best on the seas) karaoke in the Safari Club and all of the activities in the Centrum.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Dj’s, Bands, and music were very delightful.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
From the Stateroom service to the Dining room the service was top notch. Shout out to Jose and Hang our wait staff in MDR

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship showed some age but is in excellent shape and I thoroughly enjoy the smaller ship atmosphere.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was small (they all are) for the 4 of us but it was fine. The balcony was larger than some others and we received this room at the GTY level, so big surprise. Seemed like an upgrade to me!

Ship tip

We found the freestyle machine location inconvenient because of only one location in the Windjammer.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

4 out of 5
We flew in the day before boarding so we did not get around too much, although we enjoyed some time on the beach!

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
We loved Sint Maarten and booked an excursion outside of RCCL with trip advisor/ Viator with Captain Bobs and it was amazing.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
Went on our own and took a ferry to Water Island. It was a wonderful day renting a golf cart and exploring the island as well as spending time and snorkeling at Honeymoon Bay Beach.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

5 out of 5
We went on an excursion through trip advisor/Viator again and it was with Annie’s. Her and her husband are amazing, and the knowledge of the island was very much appreciated.

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
Love Fort Lauderdale, but this was disembarkation day and once off the ship it was a fast trip to the Airport.

Disembarkation

Slight hold up with Customs, but once cleared it went extremely fast!

We are booked in a balcony GTY this June. Would you mind sharing a room number? I can hardly wait until our room is assigned - how many days before did you find yours out?
