Review summary

I enjoyed the vacation on this ship (expect for those windows)

Embarkation

5 out of 5
My sister needed wheelchair assistance to board the ship. She did not pre call like you are supposed to and the help desk person was able to straighten it out in a reasonable amount of time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I prefer Royal Caribbean food. Overall I think it is that little bit better than other cruise lines. The Chefs table was excellent. The lunch buffet had a carved roast beef and it was excellent. Breakfast buffet had a carved ham for several days and it was exceptional. Bacon in the breakfast buffet can have undercooked bacon. Sit down breakfast for 3 days did not have that issue. They also served pancakes that were perfect. If you get that left behind pancake in buffet it can be crunchy, just get another one. Specialty dining was enjoyable.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Our two big activities were trivia and the adults only pool. The adults only filled up a couple days but we were still able to find a spot and not have to fight a crowd in the pool.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I enjoyed 4 of the 7 shows very much and that's a pretty good record. All of the cruise ships have excellent bands and I wish more of them would give a performance of just their music.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I have yet to find a cruise that did not have good staff and this cruise was no exception, polite and helpful throughout.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I would have given and excellent for this ship except for the one thing that bothered me was that the cruise line did not wash the windows in the common areas. Buffet - dirty windows, Bars with a view - dirty windows, solarium - dirty windows. This is not the fault of the crew, they are not responsible for the outside windows. Part of the cruise experience I enjoy is to view the ocean as I relax in one of the common areas. This is the first time I have experienced this. If Royal Caribbean applies this policy to other ships in their line I will reconsider cruising with them. The ship was very clean and well kept inside.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I have never experienced a dirty cabin this one was also well kept. We had a handicap room and because of the design, the water from the shower did not get all over the floor in the bathroom.

Ship tip

Consider breakfast in the dining room; the bacon was perfectly crisp, they had cheerios which were not in the buffet and my sister likes lox which they provided a plateful.
