So overall it was an amazing cruise. The lady I traveled with that had a scooter found it very easy to get around as well. There were plenty of places to just lay around and a lot of activities. Don't skip out on the Main Dining experience also make sure you download the app and you can still get paper cruise compasses just ask your stateroom attendant for them. Figure out what time of day suits you for your stateroom attendant to do your cabin. Book all specialty restaurants and excursions well in advance. Most importantly have fun and do all the stressful planning before you get on the boat have a blast. If you are celebrating like I was I treated myself to a birthday cruise. You can also have Royal decorate your door and cabin yes this is an extra charge but not by much. I had a wonderful time 70's night is always a good time so come prepared with an outfit we also had 2 casual and white nights and dress up night in main dining. Be careful of price gouging on the port shop till you drop you get amazing prices with the outside vendors. The app is always YOUR BEST FRIEND. Look out for duck hunting if you are on Facebook you can always join the group from your sailing I met a few and they are so friendly and down to earth o have friends and they give you the run down on cruises you want to do in the future. MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVE FUN!!
MIX AND MINGLE and limit your trips to the casino LOL IJS. Hope you enjoyed this review as much I did writing it and living it onboard of Jewel of the Seas.
See you soon onboard a Royal Caribbean Ship. 👋👋🚢

Embarkation was like a snap of your fingers. I literally was on the boat within 10 minutes of my arrival to the port. Make sure you do your check in within the app it makes it so much easier and faster.

70's night was awesome as usual the boat had a heck of a time and it was a huge turn out for the event. It shocked me that alot of the guests were dressed in 70's attire but baby the dance floor stayed packed. Sparkle Band was awesome as well I really just stayed with Sparkle Band every time they played the variety of much had me coming back for more each set and THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT.
Service and Staff

The main dining staff walls Amazing we had Yevhen he was very attentive to every detail. We had my time dinning every night we reserved just him. Yevhen gave of pointers on the port ahead of us where the good beaches were.Vinay was his assistant and he was on point as well very attentive to detail both knew my wine of choice after the first night. The dining room staff even brought me out a slice of birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday to me. During different times during the day we would see them working in the Windjammer. Also Dev was amazing he walked around making sure our dining experience was A+ he asked us about our day how we liked the Islands. My stateroom attendant although they only can once a day was great as well. I wanted the night service he made sure that I always had fresh everything and a towel animal every night and a bucket of ice.
Ship Quality

The ship was very well maintained everywhere and had a fresh crisp smell to it. The public bathroom was very well maintained. You could see the staff walking around disinfecting surfaces and helping guests.
Cabin / Stateroom

I loved my cabin it was very clean and it was big. I am a middle of the bed sleeper so with that in mind don't forget that there are 2 beds pushed together to make a huge one. No I didn't fall in-between although that would have been extremely funny if I did but I could tell. The bed was still comfortable I went to sleep immediately as my head hit the pillow. If you are Emerald or above don't forget to ask your stateroom attendant for your robe they are very comfortable. I spent a bit of time in my room although this was my birthday cruise I still had a bit of work I needed to do concerning my business.
Ship tip
If I could leave you with a bit of advice, download the app. The app will be your best friend it gives you alot of information it lets you book excursions and any of the specialty dining. But book the speciality dining before you get on board it goes up a few dollars. The app will leave you wanting to go to everything if you press that scheduled event or class you want to do it will alert you 15 mins before it starts. My problem was wanting to go to multiple things they had going on. 🥺
We didn't do a excursion in this port we did come and stay a.day ahead of the cruis the island is beautiful and quiet where we stayed. You do need cars in this country even though we all were only 8 mins from the airport and 15 mins from the pier there was quite a bit of highway traveling and we lucked up by having a supermarket and eateries literally at the end of our street.
I went into port here as well. Be wary of the people wanting to give you tours they up charge you even though there is a price guide outside of the door to each place. I have some local Roti man it was delicious and packed full. I had potatoes, spinach chicken, and pinto beans for 10 and it was filling I had to go back on the ship and take a nap 💤. There are stalls on the outside of the port just like all the others but you can get better deals out there and on the inside ones.
Barbados is beautiful it rained as we were coming into port. It was only rained for like 10 mins. The sun came out and was H-O-T 🥵. Make sure you carry sunscreen and water. If you go on the outside of the port there are small stalls that you can get better deals at. The food and busses are outside to take you where you want to go.The stores inside are expensive.I saw Jergens lotion for $12 a sharable size M&Ms for $9. It was just way too expensive but the stalls outside made it worth going out in the port area
I went out into the port shopping and did a little shopping. I have been to this port before so I knew what to expect. I had some food and a couple beers before getting back on the ship and continuing some work I need to do on the laptop. Also I didn't do much because I was traveling with an older lady with a scooter which left me limited on things I could do and enjoy.
I didn't do an excursion but I went into their mall and purchased a few things. Be careful crossing the street in front of the port it is extremely busy but the locals are very kind and will stop their cars and traffic just to let you pass. There are a few wheelchair accessible curbs going across the street to the mall. I bought a nice perfume set it smells so good and an awesome smelling Arabian perfume they only had one which was a bit disappointing or else I would have bought 4 of them and it was reasonably priced too
I didn't get off at this port I have been here before and last time I went I spent a lot of money here which was not a bad thing but they had so many things I loved.
