New England Cruise

Sail Date: October 08, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship, the ship's staff, the food, and most of the entertainment were excellent. Bar Harbor and Halifax are great to visit; Portland, Maine, and St. John NB are less interesting. The only negative comment is that smoking is still allowed in a few public areas of the ship and on stateroom balconies.

Pros: Ship's staff, cabin, dining, entertainment

Cons: Some ports not that interesting

Recommends Jewel of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
There are many varied and extremely comfortable public areas.
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Entertainment
Acts in the main theater were excellent; some of the lounge entertainers were marginal.
Bar Harbor, Maine
Portland, Maine
Halifax, Nova Scotia
Most of the interesting sites in Halifax are a convenient walking distance fromt the Ship.
Don't Miss: Citadel, Maritime Museum
Saint John, New Brunswick
