FIRST TIME CRUISE

Sail Date: October 26, 2006

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

WE FELT THAT THE SHIP WAS TRULY AWESOME AS IT WAS OUR FIRST SAILING. WE REALLY FELT AS THOUGH ALL PERSONNEL TRULY CARED FOR OUR COMFORT AND CONCERN. WE WOULD SAIL AGAIN ON A NON SMOKING VOYAGE IF ROYAL HAS THAT TYPE OF SAILING IN THE FUTURE. YOUR CREW SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WORK IN SMOKE FILLED ROOMS. TIME TO REALIZE THAT SMOKING IS HAZARDOUS TO EVERYONE'S HEALTH. ARE YOU NOT AWARE OF THE WARNINGS ON A PACK OF CIGARETTES???? WAITED TOO LONG TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE GRILLE- COULDN'T MAKE A RESERVATION. WILL BOOK ON THE FIRST DATE OF NEXT SAILING.

Pros: FRIENDLINESS OF STAFF AND SERVICE PERSONNEL

Cons: SMOKING IN LOUNGES AND CASINO SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED

Recommends Jewel of the Seas? Yes!

Entertainment
BECAUSE SMOKING WAS ALLOWED WE COULDNT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE LOUNGES EXCEPT THE CHAMPAIGNE. WE SPENT TIME THERE EVERY DAY. ENTERTAINMENT WAS SO SO.
Ship Quality
THE ROOMS AND RESTAURANTS WERE ALWAYS CLEAN AND WE ENJOYED THE FRIENDLINESS OF THE WAIT STAFF. AS SOON AS SOME ONE LEFT A TABLE IT WAS IMMEDIATELY CLEANED FOR THE NEXT PARTY.
Food and Dining
PRESENTATION IS EVERYTHING. TRULY OUTSTANDING. WE LIKED THE EARLY DINING. VERY ATTENTIVE WAITSTAFF.
Cabin / Stateroom
SINCE IT WAS OUR FIRST SAIL WE WERE SPOILED BY THE STAFF. WE REALLY FELT THAT THEY CARED FOR OUR COMFORT. EXCELLENT LOCATION ON STARBOARD SIDE BALCONY. ON DECK 7 CLOSE TO ELEVATOR.
Service and Staff
BECAUSE THE STAFF WAS SO ACCOMODATING WE WOULD SAIL AGAIN ON ROYAL.
King's Wharf, Bermuda
THE TOUR AROUND THE AREA OF THE WHARF WAS JUST WHAT WE WANTED. WE SAW WHAT THE NATIVES LIVE IN AND THE GUIDE WAS MOST INFORMATIVE ON THE HISTORY OF BERMUDA. IT WAS THE GAS TRAIN THAT LEFT FROM THE SHIP. WE ALSO TOOK THE FERRY INTO HAMILTON.
Don't Miss: WOULD LIKE TO RENT MOTOR SCOOTERS NEXT TIME IN BERMUDA.
