We enjoyed the cruise and wish we had travelled with some friends as it seemed many groups had done this. Great ship and crew.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Well organized at the port and when we boarded the ship
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The staff the all the dining areas I visited were friendly, helpful and worked hard to keep tables cleaned and fresh food at buffets, and glasses refilled at tables ,
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The pools were used by many but it did not seem that there was shortage of room for anyone else who wanted to use them, Nice to have 2 pools with the Lido quieter and not in direct sun.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
All the evening shows were well attended and the crowd (and myself) really enjoyed the productions, dancing, singing and comics
Children's Programs
I did not bring any kids nor spent anytime in their areas
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
I would love the have that level of service and friendliness from every place I traveled
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship looked in great shape and some minor painting was going on for exterior and walkways but did not overwhelm with fumes or get in way.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The balcony was large enough for 2 chairs to sit in but the railing was right at my wife's eye level when seated, needed a booster of 3 inches. Cabin kept very clean and size was good. I would like to have more outlets in room, 2 on desks but so close to each other could only use one at a time. Also would have liked a USB charger built into light or phone.
Ship tip
If it is raining when going through Panama canal locks, head to deck 11 (Baha) forward and watch from underneath the overhang of the bridge
Take shuttle boat to pier and everyone I talked to had great time on their tours, Locals deal so much with US dollars that they have rates for most food and souvenirs figured as certain amount plus then restaurants and bars then add tip to bill. If your credit cards allows you to make purchases with no transaction fees, you have to tell the server or cash register person to ring it up as Cayman currency, otherwise you pay a larger exchange rate
In port on a Sunday of a weekend where Monday was national holiday. We were only ship in port and old city area was packed and street vendors were everywhere trying to sell shirts, hats, watches, fruit, beer, water, tablecloths There is a nice zoo to visit when you get back to ship
The port has a big clean shopping area as soon as you leave terminal. Everyone friendly but it takes time to travel from port to where the excursions are.
The ship forgot to call my group to disembark, found that out when baggage handler in terminal called to ask if I had forgetten bag as it was only bag left from that group
