Review summary

It’s a great way to see the eastern Caribbean. The only bad part is that you change time zones 4-5 times on a ten-day cruise. You will get confused. But this is not the fault of Princess!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Even under construction Princess did a great job of making every comfortable and organized during embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The specialty restaurants were spot on. I would highly recommend the club dinning package for better dining.

Crooners Martini Bar

5 out of 5

The crew in Crooners were the best. They memorized our stateroom number and our names on the first day. Always a warm welcome and excellent service.

Sabatini's

5 out of 5

This was my favorite place to eat on the ship. Get the club dining package so you can also have breakfast in Sabatinis.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Thing fancy on the Island Princess but plenty to do and an exceptionally helpful and friendly crew.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Again not lots of room for large bands but most of the music was very good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Can’t say enough good things about this crew. They care and it shows.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Older ship in need of a remodel but very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Well it was a suite so it was sweet... wrap around corner balcony, huge! Nothing overhead so lots of star gazing. The room is spacious and comfortable.

Ship tip

Wait until they do the upcoming remodel.

Panama Canal (Cruise Into Canal)

5 out of 5
Wow, just wow. This is the highlight of the cruise and I stayed onboard and went back out the locks. It is just fascinating to go through the Panama Canal.

Cristobal, Panama

2 out of 5
Do not get off the ship. This is a pickup for the excursions. Do not go to Colon.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

George Town, Grand Cayman

Banks and more banks. But the snorkeling is close and good.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Princess is very good at organizing their guests.

In regards to the time changes, doesn't the ship run on "ships time"? So if you keep your watch set you *should* be fine.....right?

Glad you had a good time

I agree with time changes, we had the same thing with our Panama Canal cruise.

Glad you enjoyed it. It’s always a good idea to keep a watch set to ship time so you don’t miss the ship or activities onboard.
