It's a decent floating hotel.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The insistence on formal wear was tiresome/irksome. Food choices were ok - not bad, not great.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Decent set of activities for teenagers, especially those that like to interact with digital/video interfaces; Not good for young adults anyone over 18; Overall the average age on the ship appeared to be 50+; Hence not much by way of activties.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Good activities for teenagers.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
No complaints - good service.

Cabin / Stateroom

The notion of the 4th pulldown bed in the mini suite is a joke. That bed was very hard and not comfortable at all; Not sure anyone over 10 years can use that bed effectively.

Ports of call

Ketchikan, Alaska

CAUTION - This place boasts of liquid sunshine - They get a lot of rain. We enjoyed the raft trip, the only downside was the cold rain.

Skagway, Alaska

Did the jeep drive and bicycle ride. The bicycle ride was a joke - most of it was downhill. Saw a bear crossing the road on the jeep ride!

Pros: Well coordinated

Cons: The constant push for up-sell during the cruise to make us buy additional products/services
