Very nice, just need more places to dine that don’t cost.. & more activities that don’t cost extra..

It was an amazing vacation. Royal Caribbean is our choice cruise line and I'm excited to experience more.

I think for the price of this cruise, it was equal to Carnival.

Superduper ship but bars sucked. Service was excellent. Food was generally good but did not blow me away....although there were some stars..the curry chicken and other indian dishes were terrific.

I would have liked it much better if there was not so much smoking, half the lower deck and upper deck, and the casino were heavy with smoke and vaping. When I cruised with Holland America, only a portion of the upper aft deck was a smoking area.

Not my fave the ship was very nice . The did not do well with the entertainment. The crew was kind of rude I’m which I’ve never experienced on any other cruise . The boat swayed back and forth until we made it to grand cayman and I don't know if someone else took the wheel but it was smooth sailing after that however I am still swaying back and forth at home since and I hope this dissipates .

Very good cruise! The ports of call have many different activities to do and choose from. Lots of history and culture. Time to rest in between also with the days at sea in between. Great itinerary.

The main thing Royal has going for it is their ships. They are absolutely beautiful, especially the new ones. Their promenades are something that no other cruise line offers and I absolutely love it. IT's a place to shop, for the entertainers to perform and it's just a great use of ship space. The staff are all friendly, helpful and kind. But that's where the raves stop. Royal nickels and dimes you on EVERYTHING. Everything is literally extra money - even their escape room. The entertainment was not diverse enough. Standup comedian after standup comedian. The ice shows were AMAZING however. The food is a disappointment, even in their specialty restaurants. I work in a restaurant so of course I'm more picky than most, but that said, I enjoy a good chain restaurant on land from time to time, and their food is not even as good as a chain restaurant. And it's almost never hot. The Windjammer Cafe food is always lukewarm! I work many private events at my own restaurant and we always make sure all of our food is hot for our guests. Royal doesn't seem to care about this. They also broke down their specialty pancake grill a half hour early one morning. And it was on a day at sea where no one had anywhere to be. That is completely unacceptable. When you tell your guests breakfast ends at 11, that means 11. It doesn't mean 10:30, 10:45 or 10:55. It means 11. When I complained, the staff did everything to accommodate me, so kudos to them for that. But it doesn't outweigh all the problems I saw during my cruise. I had a wonderful time, because that's who I am. I make the best of wherever I am and enjoy the situation. However, I'm not sure if I'll cruise with Royal anytime soon.

We are dedicated to rccl especially being an adult population This cruise was a nightmare due to the screaming babies in the Windjammer which made meals impossible. Staff should have authority to control the situation by having these families assigned to a particular section,there many to choose from

Beautiful ship and itinerary - we recommend it highly. The staff and food and ports were lovely.

I liked the cruise as a whole. There were moments like the shore excursion in Barcelona that made me feel like I will never do an excursion again. I felt the staff was amazing and tried hard to make us have a good time. I felt that parents did not always watch their children and there should be more rules regarding children's noise levels and running in the halls- curfew I believe was around 1am so the children in the room next to us and two doors down would run and scream in the halls around 10:30pm and wake us up which was not ideal. It was not relaxing in that respect for Child-less adults due to the sheer amount of unsupervised children, but the only thing royal Caribbean can do is place more rules regarding noise and running and parents supervising children. The curfew should have been earlier as well. Royal Caribbean can improve on having more friendly and knowledgeable shore excursion attendants who will check with others if they are not sure of an answer instead of guessing. It was also quite crowded on the boat often times and it would take a bit to stand in line for food at places such as sorrentos or cafe promenade. Windjammer was also very difficult to eat at (no place to sit or long lines and popular dining options being unavailable) during popular dining times due to everyone trying to make the shows. Other than that, I liked the staff a great deal and the entertainment. The dining room food was great and it was a good cruise.

Great ship and itineary. Highly recommended. Independence of the Seas moving to Caribbean, may be another ship for this cruise next year.

The Independence of the Seas was very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and food is always delicious. Entertainment was top notch. Although they can be expensive, the junior suite is great! Balcony is a great place for a quiet nap! :)
