Review summary

Labadee is a great example of what a private island should be. Now they simply have to offer Haitian food to complete the entire experience.

Buffets were average but meals in the main dining room were very good.

Onboard Activities

Attended 2 strech classess. 1 was great and the other was ruined by an employee trying to sell shoe insoles instead of starting the class on time.

Entertainment

The production shows left much to be desired - in desperate need of diversity and variety of music and choreography. On the other hand, Crazy Quest and Battle of the sexes were wildly entetaining!

Our cabin steward and main dining room waiters were very attentive.

The ship was well maintained but cabin locations didn't seem to make sense. The interactive deck plans were very helpful.

Our cabin was well maintained but a bit smaller than other cruise lines, which made maneuvering around the bed etc. more difficult.

Ship tip

Have lunch in the main dining room whenever possible. The food is much better.

A large part of the queing was standing outside in the sun on deck where others could easily skip the line. That must be fixed.

I was on the Independence back in January. We also loved Labadee and we really enjoyed the Ice Skating Show and Grease in the theater. That was an awesome cruise!!

Except it is not an island….Labadee is on a peninsula at Cap Hatien…..it is a private destination of Royal Caribbeans, a land lease to be exact, but it. Is not an island.

On same cruise. Enjoyed ice skating show. Love love love Labadee! On debarkation day we had leisure breakfast in MDR and disembarked about 8:30 ish without any waiting. Indy is now my favourite...even more so than Allure
