This was a cheap get away for 5 days that got extended another day due to the hurricane. The crew was great on the ship. We usually use Celebrity or Princess for our cruising (which is a little more money). The difference in price shows with the class of entertainment.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We purchased the Key package. Great deal, boarding simple, sit down meal and start and end of cruise. Internet package and priority seating in the theater.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We felt the food in the dining room was good. Did not use the specialty dining. The buffet food was good but seating was difficult to find. The ship prides it self on safety and really promotes people being safe by striving to get all to wash hands upon entering buffet.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
There were lots of activities but always crowded. As with most cruise ships, a lot of people felt they were entitled to the chairs at the pool and took several chairs all day leaving towels and other items to "retain" them.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The show Grease and the ICE shows were great. The respect of the shows were subpar from other cruises we have been on. Comedian had a "family" show and he was definitely not family friendly. Some of the lounge entertainment was actually poor.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff was friendly and very accommodating
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Everything was kept very clean. Lots of staff picking up after people who chose not to pick up after themselves
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Nice size, nice balcony, cleaned once a day. Only two receptacles
due to the hurricane, Cozumel port was closed. We went to Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. Nice stop. Did the mountain tour. The tour guide was knowledgeable but made it a point to take us to several of his friends stores (too many)
We purchased the Key package. Great deal sit down breakfast before disembarking. They then escorted us down to the gate to disembark rather than having to wait in line or for a number to be called for us to leave. Great deal
