Review summary

I am looking forward to our next cruise. We met a couple who were first time Royal Carribean cruisers but have sailed with other companies and stated Royal Carribean was the way to go. I have never cruised another company and honestly probably never will since I am so happy with all that Royal Carribean has to offer. Christmas Cruise 2023 was completed with great memories for my family and myself. Thank you!!

Embarkation

Very easy, straight forward. Very crowded which is expected

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Excellent choices. Wait staff (James) in the main dining room was friendly and very concious of us having a wonderful dining experience. Never had to ask for anything extra as it was always there before it was needed. Chops grille was funamenal. Food was on point as was the service. Giavonni's was busy and we did have to wait a bit to order the food but afterwards, service was superb

Onboard Activities

pools were crowded as expected but very nice selection. The smoking area needs to be uptop of the ship on an upper deck so that the second hand smoke doesn't come near the pool areas. It is an inconvience for non smokers to have to walk by this area by the pool. My son really enjoyed the water slides. We scheduled for the escape room and didn't arrive 15 mins prior to our appointed time so the game started with out us. Very disappointing. I was reimbursed the fee but we were looking forward to this event. I think you should schedule people at the time that they should arrive, not at the time the event starts as we didn't not read the detail print, just our scheduled time and we were not late for that!!! All games and family events, ice show, Greace musicial, comedy acts and shows were well planned and a lot of laughter was shared with my family. We enjoyed it all.

Entertainment

We did have a couples massage. I tried to book it online but it was sold out. I was told by a shore line rep to go to customer service on embarktion day to see if there was any cancellations as they were offering special pricing for those that booked for the first day of the cruise. We were lucky to have an appt open. When I got the amount posted to my online account I was shocked to see that it had doubled in the price that I was told by the shore line rep. No one discussed the cost with me when I booked at guest services. Nancy helped me book..she did not tell me fees. I assumed that it was the first day of cruise pricing. I went to guest services on the ship after I noticed the amount. I spoke with Wendy from Mexico and she was of NO help at all. She acted completely dumbfounded and just kept apologizing for the "misunderstanding". While in the mist of our conversation, Olivia from Mexico, rudely came over and asked Wendy to help her with something on line and then I was completely ignored. I felt very disrepected and told both women this and said I would come back to have someone who could help me look into it. I later felt that this would not be resolved since it became a he said she said scenerio. Extremely disappointed in guest services at this point. All games and family events, ice show, Greace musicial, comedy acts and shows were well planned and a lot of laughter was shared with my family. We enjoyed it all.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
all staff at the dining room, Giovannis and Chops Grille were very nice, talkative and aware of needs and wants. We apprieciate the attention to detail that they all supplied. Pedro out room steward was pleasent and accomedating. He did walk in on my husband while he showered but my husband didn't not place the do not disturb sign on the door prior to his shower. ;-)

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean. I saw many attendants cleaning handrails to restrooms to elevator buttons on a routine basis.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very clean. It is well used and ready for a make over. A lot of chips, dents and scratches on the furniture. Still usable of course and we enjoyed the location of our stateroom.

Ship tip

If you could pick a stateroom, pick in the back as you don't feel the movement as much. Also splurge and get the balcony. It is so so worth it. Also have someone get the soda package as getting water is a must.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

4 out of 5
We were not aware of what port that we were leaving out of so our uber drive dropped us off at port A when we were to leave out of port G. We had to walk quite a distance to get to the right departed port.

Nassau, Bahamas

Extremely busy. Hard to find a place to eat do to being so crowded.

Falmouth, Jamaica

5 out of 5
The time to arrive back on the ship was too soon. We werent in Jamacia for even 10 hours including arrival time. Would of like to have a few more hours at this port!!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy. We had birth certificates and it was very fast and the line was not as long as the pass port line. I recommend rolling out your own luggage at the end of the cruise as the time it took to wait for luggage to come around on the carousel was very long
