Review summary

overall i would do this cruise again just for a 4 day getaway to do nothing! It's great to relax and not feel like you have to run all over the ship to do everything. But then I have over 30 cruises in my past. Loved the layout of the ship. It is A great cruise for the kids, just don't book on a school vacation time. I cruised this 2 years in a row and on our first cruise it was great, the second we hit a school vacation.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
I am a Diamond with Royal, so my embarkation was a breeze

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I feel that the quality of the food has gone down in past years. We ate in the dining room most of the time as the windjammer was so busy and was more cafeteria food. The staff in the dining room were excellent.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I only give it a 3 as the dy at sea was very stressful at the pool. you couldn't find a chair as most people were at the pool. I traveled with 5 grandchildren and it was impossible to keep an eye on them due to the amount of children on the cruise. The main pool was shoulder to shoulder with people.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows were good

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
the kids club was great with the exception that they had split hours were you had to pull the kids out for lunch and dinner but the staff was great

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our wait staff were wonderful, especially caring for 5 kids at a formal sitting. They were so attentive to them. The only drawback here was room service. I ordered coffee and muffins to be delivered in the mornings and it never showed up any of the days.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This ship is very easy to navigate. The biggest frustration was trying to get an elevator at any given time. Most times I went down got go up to get on an elevator.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabins were a good size for a family of 4

Ship tip

This is a great cruise if you have been to the Bahamas a couple of times. We didn't feel the need to disembark as we weren't missing anything. We really enjoyed staying on the ship when everyone was off. There was plenty to do without crowds.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
we are from Jacksonville and Port Canaveral was quick and easy to get to. The port was easy to navigate

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
We have been to the port numerous times. The port was clean and very nice. My party just got off and shopped for an hour at the shops in the port.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

4 out of 5
This was my 2nd cruise to coco cay. The first time we got off the ship to check it out. It is very nice but we couldn't snorkel due to the amount of jellyfish at the beaches. The main pool was so packed you had to wait so long to get a drink at the swim up bar. The other draw back was the cost of the water park, we didn't do it as we had 14 in our party and felt the expense was too much for what was offered. There is a free waterpark on the ship even though its smaller.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
it was a breeze as we were escorted off the ship due to my status
