We love the 3-Night Bahama Cruise on Royal Caribbean. This was our 4th time to Nassau, but this was our first seeing the newly remodeled Coco Cay. We found a great tour TruBahamanian Food Tours. However, we weren't happy with the nudity, butts out.
Independence of the Seas Cruise Review to Caribbean - Bahamas
Great cruise, but beware of the nudity onboard the ship, and at CoCo Cay. Women are allowed to walk around with their butts uncovered and I guess Royal Caribbean allows it.
Embarkation

It was OK. We walked off the ship right when we wanted to. It was probably because we were all the way down on the 2nd floor. It was also great when returning to the ship. We just popped up one floor, while everyone else waited for the elevators. It was still a long way back down to the ground. I so appreciated the way they could identify us with a machine, so we didn't have to stop and pull out our passports. We just whizzed through. No Customs stop either.

Onboard Activities

It's all there, but I didn't do any of it. This is a fast cruise, but I got my exercise walking in Nassau and in Coco Cay.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Excellent Entertainment! The ice skating show was thrilling. The ventriloquist comedian had us dying laughing, and the big "Grease" had so many talented people (it also a little raunchy at times.
Children's Programs
No children on this trip, sorry grandkids. This was an anniversary cruise.

We met so many amazing people from literally all over the world.
Ship Quality

This ship is older, but it was still nice to have a choice of one of the biggest ships here at Port Canaveral. .
Cabin / Stateroom

Oh so small, only one comfy chair, this is an older ship, and my husband actually fixed two problems with the room. It was, however, the best place to be when coming on and off the ship.
Ship tip
Just be thankful that you're on the ship and cruising again. This was our first time back since the "plannedemic," so we loved it all and was glad to be back.
We tried something new this time. We usually go to Atlantis' water park and hang out there, but the price for a day pass is truly ridiculous now. For half that price, we found that TruBahamian Food Tour was awesome. We got to learn a lot of history, see some sights, and try some really good Bahamian food. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour.
As far as beaches go, this is a wonderful place. We had our chairs and umbrellas. Food and drinks were nearby, as well as bathrooms. We really couldn't have asked for more.
We were in a hurry because I had to be to a meeting. Thank God we were able to walk off as soon as we were ready. Unfortunately, the traffic in Orlando didn't cooperate.
Better not go to the top deck on Virgin Voyages or to beaches in Europe where topless is allowed for women if you were offended on Royal Caribbean or CocoCay.
The nudity comment made me chuckle a little, I see more skin at our gym than at any beach. Oddly enough, my very fit wife who wears a fairly conservative tankini with full coverage, received a snarky comment from a blue haired woman while she was walking around the POOL deck on the Fantasy! We both about died laughing 😂
Glad you enjoyed it. I’m confused about your nudity comments. Were they actually nude or just wearing thong bikinis? If it was the latter, you must not travel or go to the beach much, as that is common in many places in the US. If that offended you, don’t go to Europe.
