Review summary

Overall I would prefer to do a smaller ship. I would have no interest in getting off at the private island as it felt like an amusement park.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Good quality. I did like the fact that several items were always on the dinner menu

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Did the slide, it was ok. Downfall was the staircase smelled strong of urine.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Same shows repeated. Not enough variety. Same with the movies. They repeated the same 3 or 4 daily and at the exact same time. After dinner we like to sit outside and watch one. It was the same movie every night.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As usual they go above and beyond to make everyone's vacation a blast!!!

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
This one was a tough one. Doors were filthy, both adult hot tubs were only partially working. There were times where it seemed like the staff couldn't keep up or there wasn't enough in the vicinity. For example by the slides when we went to store our shoes there was about 25 drinking glasses and several plates left on top of the Shelving. Furniture is very worn.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Only complaint is the hard bed.

Ship tip

When booking activities on the ship verify additional charges. We booked the escape room at guest service and no one mentioned a fee. Don't recall seeing it on the app as well.s services and We booked it at the

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

3 out of 5
It's a theme park at an island

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Way to crowded. You literally circle the ship before disembarking and with certain staircase is not being blocked off people come in and try to cut or just don't know where to go. There was no clarification on how to have assistance with luggage. The luggage tags were ever left to give us the opportunity to utilize the service. I have been on plenty of cruises and I know it takes time to get off to get off there just seems to have been no direction from staff.

Coco Cay isn’t for everyone. I didn’t love it so I just look at itineraries that don’t stop there. It was okay to see and walk around once though to see what all the hype is about.

We had a wonderful time on the Indy in June. Everything was sparklingly clean and great service everywhere. Sure, there were some longer lines for things in places, but we didn't let that ruin our trip. And if you didn't get off on Coco Cay, how do you know it was terrible? I am 100% NOT a beach person, but I loved Coco Cay. There are so many ways to relax without being in the "amusement" park. Sorry you didn't enjoy your trip. Hope your next cruise (if you take one) is better.

If you didn't get off the ship at coco cay, then I think you missed out, unless you are not a beach person. While part of the island looks like an amusement park, there are many areas that are not, where you could grab a beach chair and relax, read a book, wade in the water, or just chill.
