Royal Caribbean should have had this ship in tiptop shape being out of service the past year and half. Many systems need work. Makes one wonder how things are maintained below deck. Their workers are their best asset. Everyone is friendly. The staff pushes cleanliness and when you went into the Windjammer there was this server that was dancing and singing "Washy Washy". People really got a kick out that and there were many smiles. They had 12 sinks with soap and faucets before you went in. Some were out of soap (so you had to try others before you found one working)

Food and Dining

Food quality was good. Very sanitary of Windjammer Cafe.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Ship has maintenance issues. Hot tubs were not maintained. Jets on some did not operate. Aerators on others did not work. One elevator would not stop on deck 7 for some reason.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Great ice show. Great comedian main theater but some drunk in the audience was harassing him and the security staff should have dealt with that issue.

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Here is where the ship excels on the ratings. These people are dedicated to pleasing you. Best waiter we ever had in 25 cruises.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Dated design but a few a the upgrades were nice. Especially the sports bar. Pool tables were fun even with a little ship movement.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was an end cabin and very quite. Clean. Could have used a night light in the bathroom.
Ship tip
Check to hot tubs for functionality. Don't use the right elevator (starboard) forward.
Nassau was all torn up and under construction and very dangerous. The ship did not dock at the resort island claiming that there was bad weather but the winds were only 15 knots with 7 foot seas at best. Captain left island claiming that they could not dock and then proceeded to crawl back to Port Canaveral at 6 knots saving fuel at our expense of what could have been a great day of fun on the island.
Walked from ship in a very hazardous environment. When the construction is complete I think it would be much better. For this reason I cannot recommend this particular cruise.
Yeah those Bahama private islands do get missed a lot. I doubt the ship saves much money by skipping though. They can't sell excursions when you are on the ship. When my private island itinerary was skipped due to bad weather, I was skeptical because it was just a little breezy until I looked through binoculars to see huge waves crashing on the rocks.
Every ship likely has guest facing maintenance issues. Being shut down for 15+ months with no hotel staff has that effect on equipment. We should all know by now that the only maintenance that was performed during the shutdown was for sea worthiness only.
