After four COVID cancellations, we were thrilled to be back Cruising, and pleased that the COVID nonsense wasn't bad at all. The Independence was wonderful and the Owners' Suite and amenities were fantastic. Great return to Cruising and can't wait until our April Cruise.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Not as smooth as Expedited, but not too bad, all things considered.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Everything was good except for the MDR. Steaks and Prime Rib were tough; appetizers were great.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Played Pickleball and CornHole but not much else.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
First Class entertainment and probably the Best Live Band on the seas.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Happy and helpful everywhere
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Clean and well-maintained everywhere - miss the central Atrium design though, and found the Promenade was disappointing: dark and with few stores.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Amazing - better than we've ever had before. Spacious and Perfect.
Ship tip
Go! Don't worry about COVID. Wore masks indoors only unless seated. Not bad at all. No testing either.
