Review summary

Royal Caribbean has spoiled us! We look forward to our next adventure!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Long waits for shuttles to and from the parking garage, but other than that, it was fast.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The Main dining room was my favorite! The food was better here than it was at the windjammer for lunch or dinner. We did not visit the specialty restaurants. The windjammer breakfast was awesome. Loved the fresh fruit and yogurt options!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We seemed to like watching the wipe outs at the wave rider as well as the family bingo upstairs! The putt putt was always crowded so we didn’t have a chance to try it. Our little one was definitely not into sitting for a show so we did the movie at the pool which was magical!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward, Milfred Gaulupo, was great. He had the room in tip top shape after returning from morning activities or shore excursions, as well as the turn down service each night. Savor and Deibis in the main dining room were attentive and knew us by the time the trip was over. They knew exactly what we had to drink each night!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was perfect! We can’t wait to see the refurb when we cruise again next Spring! Always clean and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
My first time staying in an interior room and it wasn’t as bad as I imagined. I was organized enough to keep it tidy so we had more room to enjoy when we were in the room. I’m hoping to have the same room again next year! It was in the perfect location, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday/night movement.

Ship tip

Plan to spend an extra amount of money on top of what you plan to bring with you :)

Ports of call

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

We did the historic tour at Paradise Cove, which started out great! My only gripe is that I wish we could’ve stayed a little longer. We had no time to enjoy the beach after hiking up and doing the tour in the hot sun. When we got back to the Main area, lunch was served. Not too bad, but I wish there were less rocky beaches to swim in.

Falmouth, Jamaica

This port was beautiful! The shopping area looked amazing! We did a double excursion in Ocho Rios (Dunn’s river and White river tubing) so we had zero time to enjoy the port, as we rushed back from ocho Rios to try and board the boat on time. The excursions were Amazing!!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
The lines to get off the boat were long. One thing I noticed is that there was a problem with one of the passengers (I’m assuming she needed something from a passenger that already disembarked). Instead of moving her aside and keeping the line moving, they kept her there which really held up the line and started to aggravate the rest of the passengers. The shuttle lines to get to the parking garage was ridiculous. My husband took 40 minutes after leaving customs to get our car out of the garage and back to the loading area to come and get us and our bags.
