Review summary
The boat itself was impressive, but there are many things I do not utilize that I paid for. I think I prefer a smaller boat. Wanted to do ice skating, but they only offered adult skate on a day that I could not go. The food was disappointing most of the time in MDR. Only 3-4 meals were up to the standards I expected. Windjammer was to be expected, but I had to ask for several things daily that were not offered outright (american bacon, philly cream cheese, and soy milk). They did an employee drill in the middle of a sea morning which was horrible timing and the Windjammer was very unorganized because there was no staff.
Paris tour: Amazing.
Cherbourg: We did this on our own. Walked into town. Some people said it was a grim town, but we loved it. Found some authentic (not tourist) spots that were amazing.
Bilbao: Do not be late for the bus. They will leave without you even if you're 5 minutes late. Guggenheim was good, but our tour guide was not. Not enough time in the city. They bring you back at 1315, but the boat doesn't leave until 1630... would have liked 1-2 more on my own hours.
Gijon: Tour was amazing. But again, needed more on my own time.
