Review summary

We enjoyed our 5 day cruise on the Independence of the seas. The balcony room we had was fine and the ship overall looked good for its age. The food in the buffet, and main dining room were sub par. We ended up eating in the upgraded restaurants at night, and they were excellent. The ship staff that we encountered were all very professional and friendly.

Nice cabin near the elevators. Clean with roomy balcony.

Ship tip

Elevators seem to be too few. If you are going three floors or less, it is much better to use the stairs.
