My husband and I celebrated our 34th anniversary on the Independence of the sea! Long time cruisers but first time on the freedom class ships. Independence of the sea is a very good ship. Staff was very conscientious about cleanliness of the ship.  The entertainment was very good. Cruise director and activity manager was visible and engaging often around the ship. we had a wow experience!

Ship Quality
very appealing as you enter ship
Food and Dining

Service and Staff
Lydia was excellent in keeping stateroom tidy. Eddie Beausoliel was excellect guest service officer in helping with detail info
Entertainment

Onboard Activities
always organizing my personal plans to get to all the activities that interested us
Destinations and Excursions
we enjoyed the sightseeing trip to miami once we docked back in Ft Lauderdale at the end of cruise.
Cabin / Stateroom we put the center table in the closet which gave us more move about room. The inside cabin was roomy enough for us
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
we arrived a day early. our hotel had a free shuttle to sawgrass mall. we ate in the food court.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
we enjoyed riding water taxi to front street. we walked and shopped. what fun!
Basseterre, St. Kitts
as soon as you exit the ship there are plenty of shopping stores in walking distance with great prices for souvenir. ex photo books, t shirts, etc.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
lots of shopping in old san juan
Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)
a wonderful relaxing day!

Tip

For example: Don't need to book a tour in San Juan just go to the "White" tram/trolley stop outside the pier for a free ride to Old San Juan and tour the forts, that will take all day, they are massive and for 5 bucks well worth it. US cell phone work and it's usually included in you plan.
