I have sailed on Royal Caribbean cruise lines many times and enjoyed the experience. One of the things I appreciated most was that, once you paid for the cruise, the only additional charges were for alcohol or excursions. However, on the Icons of the Seas, it feels like we are being nickel-and-dimed for everything, even some of the activities. We understand this is a new ship and you’re trying to recover some of your costs, but we paid a significant amount of money for this cruise, and it’s really disappointing that we still have to pay extra for so many things. You need to change the way you are charging your customers.

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We have sailed on Royal Caribbean many times and usually dined in the dining room, so we were fine with our dining experience on this past cruise. We always ate at the Windjammer. We love the variety of food, the superb staff, and we really enjoy the atmosphere. Please never change it, as it makes the cruise very enjoyable.

Cabin / Stateroom

My room was very large. We were able to move around without any issues it accommodated all our luggage.
My disembark was fine until I found out my flight was canceled and could not get ahold of you staff to rebook on another flight. It’s was easy to purchase the ticket through your cruise line but to get in touch with you if there is a problem was the worse experience. I ended up purchasing another ticket which was a Financial strain
Thank you for your feedback. It does feel like there are many excess charges, but I am grateful that many of these could be booked months in advance to lessen the financial hit onboard.
