Embarkation
5 out of 5
zero problems getting onto the boat in galveston from the port security to stepping foot on the ship
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
3 stars might be more then I think is worth it, but if 3 is "average" than 3. The morning and lunch meals in the windjammer were always exactly the same. Only ate dinner in the main dining room, and the food was "fine"
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The pools were heavily used, but not so crowded you could not stand in them. Could NOT swim in them per-se too many people everywhere. Slides were all fun and not overrun with people. Rock climbing was a never before attempted activity - not busy when I went in the AM to try it
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Skating show good, Aqua show good, Grease good, and most Promenade shows were reasonably attended and high energy. The games shows got repetitive, but the Quest was a blast
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
If you can get your kids to go, great! My grandkid went, but did not want to. However, he didnt want to leave it either afterward!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
They really all worked very hard to make sure everything was taken care of. Stewards, Waiters and staff all were perfect
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
It is a big ship. Be ready to take 3 days just to figure out Forward from Aft. Like most ships of its class, so I dont blame the ship
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
They upgraded me from an interior to an oceanview porthole at no cost. so that was nice. However, I did pay for a single cabin at the 2 person price, so basically I felt like I did pay for the upgrade in a way
Ship tip
PLAN YOUR DINNER HOURS in advance, as once you do, you can just walk to your assigned table, instead of making reservations and waiting on a night by night basis
LONG LINES to get out, but they move quickly. Maybe 20 minutes from when my number was called to when I was heading toward my transportation with luggage in hand
