Review summary

After our cruise last year on another cruise line, we had almost given up on cruising because of the lack of quality. Someone told us to try Royal Caribbean, so we decided to give it a chance. It was THE BEST cruise experience of our past 15 cruises!! It was the first time we didn't want to get off of the ship!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation experience was very smooth, easy, and well organized.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We dined in the main dining room three nights and for lunch twice. The food was excellent and the service was top-notch! Ever server we had was friendly, professional, and gave exceptional service.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
It was so pleasant to see that there were a number of pools onboard and they were spread out in ways that kept them from becoming crowded. We especially liked that the kids area was in a different area, so they had their own pool and splashpads. We used the fitness center and found it to have state-of-the-art equipment. It was also well staffed and stocked with towels, sanitizer, and water.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We have cruised for over 15 years, but this was our first time on a RCCL cruise. We were skeptical to attend any shows because of our experiences with the other cruise lines. HOWEVER, every single show was amazing! Grease was a Broadway experience from beginning to end. The ice show was beautiful and had a wonderful storyline. The aqua show was jaw-dropping with the feats they performed! All of the performers were professional, the musicians and singers were exceptional, and the costumes were a 10!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
From the moment we began our embarkation process, we could see the difference in service with RCCL staff. We were greeted, helped promptly, and guided to where we needed to go. This was especially helpful since it was our first time. Once on board the 5-star service continued from Day 1 to the end of our cruise. Raymond was our cabin steward and he went above and beyond to tend to our cabin and our requests/needs. Gus at the Vitality Cafe was another member that absolutely shined! His smile and desire to create a healthy drink for us each time was above and beyond.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was amazing! The layout was so well designed and easy to learn. We enjoyed the areas of Boardwalk, The Promenade, and Central Park. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We can't say enough about this ship - it was wonderful!!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The layout was perfect. We appreciated that the living area was by the balcony. There was a lot of storage for both my husband and I to put all of our clothes and belongings. The balcony was a good size and we liked that there was a reclining chair and a footstool. Wonderful cabin!

Ship tip

Book it!!

Ports of call

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras Did not visit port

We had been to this port before and stayed onboard to enjoy the beautiful Harmony of the Seas!

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
We did the Salsa & Salsa Excursion and it was wonderful! We learned to make 3 types of salsa, had salsa dancing lessons, and then were able to enjoy the beautiful beach for an hour or so.

Cozumel, Mexico Did not visit port

We have been here many times. Again, we wanted to enjoy the beautiful ship.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was as smooth as can be when there are over 6,000 passengers! It was the fastest we've ever had.
