Review summary

Overall, we had a wonderful family vacation, and we got much needed relaxation and fun. The ship is easy to navigate and offers so much to keep you entertained. Royal really knows how to entertain families and keeps us coming back for more.

Embarkation

Royal has done a really great job with this. Everything went smoothly and easy to navigate. We were able to get right on.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The last several cruises, the main dining foods quality has gone down. The atmosphere is also chaotic ever since they changed the menu and have been trying to make it faster. We instead have been enjoying the specialty dining and have really enjoyed the service and food there. Park Cafe was perfect. We ate there almost daily for breakfast and lunch, delicious, and loved the salads. Windjammer was your average buffet, but service was great, constantly taking places and getting us drinks.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There is so much to do on the ship, something for everyone. You will never go bored on this ship. My daughter loved the splash park and carousel. My 12 year old enjoyed the kids' area (he was in the 9-11 as he wasn't ready for teen area) they keep them well engaged there.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Aquashows are super unique and so much fun to watch, same with the ice shows. Royal always provides quality entertainment. The live music was wonderful too, especially the Jazz in central park.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My daughter and son are on the spectrum, and they worked with us and did awesome to make our kids comfortable and having fun! I have always loved Royals kids program and the background the teachers have. It makes me feel confident my kids will have a blast and be comfortable.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Everyone was wonderful, the only complaint I had was in the main dining room. They were not very personal, and I really do believe that by trying to be in a rush, they lack keeping up with tables, especially clearing them. It can get crowded on the table with a family of 4. Outside of that bar staff, specialty dinning staff, and cleaners were great!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Wonderful cabin for family with kids. Tons of space and storage. There is a private bunk bed near the front door and a huge walk in closet and big open room. The windows are huge, you can sit in them too. We love these rooms for our trips.

Ship tip

Enjoy Central Park at night, beautiful and relaxing. The live music is a great way to end the night.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

It's always super easy to navigate and tons of free things to do. Awesome tacos at lunch and yummy brownies!

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Beautiful water and great good. The vendors are a little pushy, but we got through just fine and found chairs and relaxed. The water taxi makes it super easy.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Beautiful city, we did a walking tour. Would love to come back and venture more.
