Review summary

Next time I go on an oasis class ship, I'll try to get a cabin closer to one of the stairwells. We had to walk equal distance forward or aft to get to the elevators. Some of our party had trouble walking. We actually booked where we were to get away from the noise of the elevators and stairways but it turned out to be an awful lot of walking.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All restaurants I tried were excellent Main dining staff was superb.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Spa was good, solarium area was excellent.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Stage productions were excellent, particularly Grease. Aqua shows were very good also. If you were bored on this cruise, it was your own fault.

Children's Programs

No kids with me and preferred not to be around other people's kids.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service staff was excellent. Very friendly and polite and willing to help at all times. I ate in multiple areas and all of the wait staff and service personnel get 5s from me.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Nicest public restrooms I've been in. Tables in dining areas were cleared and cleaned quickly.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Nice cabin, but couldn't get it warm enough. Had to keep opening the sliding balcony door so the a/c would just turn off. Beds were a little hard but endurable.

Ship tip

Wear good walking shoes cause it's a BIG ship.

Ports of call

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island) Did not visit port

Replace this with coco cay

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
Our cabin was on the port side, but faced AWAY from the port. I thought portside was supposed to face the port. As a matter of fact we weren't facing any of the ports when we docked.

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
Did the see and sea excursion and enjoyed it very much.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quickest disembarkment I've ever experienced

Port side is a nautical term and has nothing to do with which side the ship docks on. Looking forward Port is the left side starboard is right side, fore is front Aft is rear. Never changes on any boat/ship. Sounds like you had a great cruise overall. Glad to hear it!!
